Project Description:

The scope of this project included new construction of a 1,200 square foot slab on grade, CMU block building located in the isolated woods of northern Georgia at the Army National Guard volunteer training site.  Site work started in late October and continued thru the first part of January until its completion on 01/18/2012.  Sherrick faced some challenges during the course of construction right off the start with Catoosa County receiving almost double the rain for November 2011 than they have averaged in the past 10 years.  Catoosa County for November typically averages around 4.93 inches of rain according to the (NWS), and this year in November they received 9.3 inches. Sherrick was delayed a total of 16 days during November until the building was dried in, and through hard work and having great subcontractor relationships still finished the project within the 75 day duration from notice to proceed.
