Project Description:

Construction of a complete new building and the civil site work required to support a new facility. This facility is construction of a new 19,429 square foot Child Development Center which will accommodates 148 children. For this project, all factors from design to operation were considered to achieve LEED® Silver from the Green Building Certification Institute. The Child Development Center consists of slab on grade, reinforced masonry and steel frame construction which meets seismic standards and applicable Unified Facility Criteria. It is a medium sized Child Development Center with playgrounds, storage sheds, parking and site improvements.

Sherrick Construction, Inc. worked as the general contractor in collaboration with a design/build team consisting of Flintco, Archimania architectural firm and SSR Ellers engineering firm. Sherrick was responsible for the development of new construction documents as well as the new construction and renovations based on the RFP and all related Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs). Sherrick Construction, Inc. As the general contractor, Sherrick managed not only the design process, but all administrative requirements and field operations including project management, supervision, quality control and safety.
