Construction Quality Management

Sherrick Construction Services

Our team recognizes that quality standards are synonymous with the successful design and construction of facilities. Our benchmark indicator of a successful quality control program is the level of client satisfaction we can document on each project and the continued repeat work with clients with whom we have enjoyed a professional relationship with over the past 30 years.
We have honed our quality control program over the years with a model that has been influenced heavily by the methodology set by US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Quality Control System. We implement a quality control system that begins during the design phase and carries through until the completion of the project.

Design Quality Control

The design phase highly influences the quality of the finished product. Our experts can see potential errors that could be a problem to the quality of the product before construction begins. We carefully review all conceptual and design development drawings to ensure the materials used are high quality and are compatible to the overall design. For each design submittal, all disciplines spend a week reviewing the drawings and specifications across the disciplines, then making corrections before anything goes out the door.  We have senior professionals in every discipline that are adept at identifying shortfalls and making sure they get corrected.  We use extensive checklists that are signed after every review, ensuring that standard requirements are met and typical problems are avoided.

Construction Quality Control

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) daily evaluates site conditions through inspection, addresses deficiencies with the Superintendent and Project Manager and documents these activities in the daily quality control report. Meetings between the construction team will take place on a weekly basis to evaluate the progress, review the timeline of schedule, incorporate any site conditions previously not identified, submittal logs will be reviewed to ensure timely approval of submittals and review inventory and supplies.
