The Contractor's responsibility and ownership for the quality of construction is inherent because the Client's satisfaction is paramount. The Architect is motivated by working for the Design-Builder in a cooperative and professional manner.

Responsibility

Sherrick takes the responsibility of forming a team of Architects, Engineers. and Builders with a common purpose and agreed upon goals. This eliminates the adversarial relationships often found in traditional construction delivery methods.

Knowledge of Costs

Accurate costs can be projected early in the process with as little as 10% - 15% of the completed documents. The 90/10 rule is applied: 90% of the intellectual effort takes place in the first 10% of the design effort resulting in more accurately established project budgets and costs.

The Law

Avoiding legal entanglements from adversarial relationships is important to our clients. Through traditional means of construction delivery, responsibilities and risks are usually divided among multiple parties according to who is most capable of managing the risks associated with each tasks. Alternatively, the Design-Build process offers Single-Source Responsibility, and does away with all of the finger-pointing by placing full accountability on the Design-Builder.
